Initial Problem Statement:

How might we improve the safety of people who live alone when emergencies happen by getting them in contact with other people or institutions?

Revised Problem Statement:

How might we help people who live alone in their house get instant help when an emergency happens by providing an easy way to send their requests to the right people and institutions?

Notes: who live alone in their house: people with the danger of not being found by anyone when an emergency happens. Even people who do live with others like students also have this potential danger. emergency : narrowing down to medical emergencies where the person is not able to take complex actions like walking, making calls, etc. Acute attacks of asthma, myocardial infarction, anaphylactic shock, hypoglycemic coma, convulsions, head injuries, and trauma. symptoms too painful to move.
